About the Event

Food and medicine are all around us! That's right - in your backyard, in the local park, even on the side of the road - plants that have been used for thousands of years for sustenance and healing surround us! In the online discussion, I will cover some key plants (and some fungi) to look out for on your next stroll.

Adam Birchweaver believes that one of the best ways to show appreciation for plants, trees, and fungi is to learn all about them. Through seasonal observation, gleaning knowledge from elders, and reading a lot of books on the subject, Adam has developed an innate understanding of a large number of plant and fungi species - knowledge he believes needs to be shared with others. Adam has offered workshops and plant identification walks since 2015.
